Before Double R was a vintage trailer at the center of a party, it was an idea rooted in decades of restaurant hospitality: make people feel welcome, take care of the details, and give them a reason to stay awhile.
Tracy and Kent Rathbun built their careers in restaurants, where hospitality is never just what lands on the table. It is the welcome at the door, the timing of a drink, the calm response when plans shift, and the feeling that someone has thought through the evening before the first guest arrives.
Restaurant hospitality, taken on the road
Double R Mobile Bar grew from that background. The goal was not simply to park a bar at an event. It was to bring the rhythm and care of a great restaurant experience to weddings, birthdays and backyard celebrations, corporate gatherings, and private parties across Dallas and the wider DFW area.
A restored vintage horse trailer became the natural centerpiece. It has character before the doors even open, photographs beautifully in daylight and after dark, and gives guests a place to gather that feels special without feeling staged.
More than a trend
The trailer may catch your eye first, but the experience lasts because the service is genuine. Double R brings TABC and Food Handlers certified bartenders, a thoughtfully prepared setup, and the kind of attention that keeps hosts out of the weeds and present with their guests.
